First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove the exposed person to fresh air. Symptomatic
treatment. Seek immediate medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash eyes immediately with copious quantities of water. Seek
medical attention if irritation develops.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash skin immediately with soap and water. Seek medical
attention if irritation develops.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, "alcohol" foam, carbon dioxide, dry chemical
and sand may all be used.

Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon and nitrogen and hydrogen cyanide.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Spills of the preparation should be wiped up using absorbent
material and the area further cleaned by wiping with
absorbent material moistened with water or other solvent.
All material should be incinerated.

Handling and storage

Handling: To maintain exposure levels as low as possible, local
exhaust ventilation should be installed. A dust mask,
safety glasses and protective gloves should be worn. An eye
wash station and safety shower should be installed in the
work area. Wash hands and face with soap and water before
eating, drinking or smoking.

Storage: Store in cool, dark, dry surroundings in original
containers. Ensure lids are securely closed and containers
are kept upright.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 10 kg net weight, corrugated cardboard case with single-ply
polyethylene inner bag.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance crystallises and precipitates when its
solution is neutralised at pH9. The substance may be
recovered by filtration. Neutralised and filtered solution
contains less than 7 mg per litre of the substance.

Excess Glicoat SMD (F1) remaining after coating of one batch
of circuit boards may be reused for subsequent batches if
the active ingredient (2P45AZ) remains in solution.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration with flue gas scrubbing is the preferred method
of disposal.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable. The substance is not intended for public
use.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not applicable.
