First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, for at least 15

minutes. Seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing.  Wash affected area with

plenty of water, for at least 15 minutes.  If irritation

persists seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, dry chemical,or foam may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon.

Protective equipment: Fire-fighters should wear full protective clothing including

a self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Protective clothing should be worn (see 2.3.1). Eliminate

all sources of ignition. Contain spilled liquid with sand or

earth. Recover by pumping or with a suitable absorbent

(combustable materials such as sawdust should NOT be used).

Transfer to labelled containers and dispose of by

incineration in accordance with local regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: Protective gloves should be worn along with safety glasses

or goggles. Respiratory protection is also recommended,

(full face or half mask respirator).  Local exhaust

ventilation should be used.

Storage: Store in a cool, well ventilated place away from caustics

and strong oxidisers.  Keep away from all sources of

ignition.  Protect from direct sunlight.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: UN-approved light steel drums or UN-approved 23000 litre

tanks (approximately 20 tonnes).
