Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

The study can be considered reliable and suitable for use as the key study for this endpoint.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test substance was not pyrophoric and flammable in all tests.

The test substance melted during exposure to the flame at test procedure A.10. After removal of the flame, the test substance ceased to burn, so therefore it is classified as not flammable with respect to this guideline.

No spontaneous ignition took place in any step of the test procedure A.12. The average as well as the maximum rate of the gas evolution was clearly less than1 l/kg in each of the 3 tests in step 4.
