Emergency measure - Ingestion: Symptomatic treatment.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Combustion products may contain carbon, nitrogen and
sulphur oxides together with some hydrogen chloride gas and
soot. Suitable extinguishing agents are water, foam, dry
powder and carbon dioxide. A self-contained breathing
apparatus should be used.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Solid: Collect for disposal Solution: Absorb spilt material
using an absorbent and collect for disposal. Dispose of
waste at a licensed landfill site or incinerator. Workers
should use adequate protective equipment to avoid contact
with skin.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not possible. In use, >95% of the
substance is bound to the fibre.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at a controlled landfill site is possible.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance may be destroyed by incineration at an
approved facility. Waste gas treatment to remove nitrogen
and sulphur oxides and chlorine compounds especially
hydrochloric acid gas, should be used.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Less than 5% of the substance remains after use. Dye-houses
use prepurification plants before discharge at high
dilution.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
