First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with water for several minutes. Seek

medical attention (show the safety data sheet to the

doctor).

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash immediately with soap and water

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash out mouth thoroughly with water. Give two glasses of

water to drink and seek medical attention (show the safety

data sheet to the doctor).

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Alcohol resistant foam, dry chemical powder or halons may be

used to extinguish fires. Water spray (not jet) may also be

used. For small fires, carbon dioxide is also suitable.

Product arising from burning: Combustion products may contain carbon and nitrogen oxides

together with some ammonia and titanium oxide smoke.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Contain spill with sand or earth. Recover by pumping or by

use of a suitable absorbent (eg sand, earth, sawdust).

Transfer to suitable containers which must then be closed.

Wash spill thoroughly with water once material has been

removed. Dispose of waste material by incineration at an

approved facility.

Handling and storage

Handling: Plastic or rubber goggles or safety glasses with side

shields and protective gloves (eg PVC or rubber) should be

worn. Smoking and naked lights should be forbidden. Avoid

contact with eyes and skin. Consumption of food and drink

must be forbidden.

Storage: Store in closed steel drums or polyethylene intermediate

bulk containers in a cool place.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Steel drums or polyethylene intermediate bulk containers.
