First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Combustion products may contain carbon, nitrogen and
sulphur oxides together with some soot and hydrogen
chloride gas. Suitable extinguishing agents are water,
carbon dioxide, foam and dry powder. [UK c.a.: Some
hydrogen cyanide may be formed].

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Powder: Collect spilt material and place in suitable
containers for disposal Solution: Absorb spilt solutions
with suitable material and place in suitable containers for
disposal. Dispose of waste material by incineration.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not possible

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: "Not applicable" [UK c.a. has enquired of French c.a. (eg
alkaline hydrolysis)]

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at a controlled landfill site is possible

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance may be destroyed at an approved incinerator.
Waste gas treatment to remove nitrogen and sulphur oxides
and hydrogen chloride should be used.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended. In view of the low water solubility,
recovery by filtration is possible should the substance
enter a water purification system.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance itself will not enter the public domain.
