Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No chemical treatment is known at the present time to remove
the hazardous effect observed. The skin sensation is
believed to be due to enzyme impurities and their removal
is being investigated.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at a landfill site is the preferred means of
disposal as the substance is biodegradable.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: This method is a possible means of disposal.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is virtually insoluble in water and may be
removed by filtration. Furthermore, it is readily
biodegradable.
