Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Log Kow >= 5.86 OECD guideline 117 (HPLC method)

Log Kow = 11.31 - 25.96 estimated with the QSAR KOWWIN v1.68 (US EPA, 2000) for the main constituents (components 1 - 6) of the test substance (for more details, see Boundary Composition).

QSAR values were also estimated (KOWWIN v1.68) for minor components and residuals (0% - 3.6% of the test substance, components 7 - 10). The log Pow values ranged from -1.62 to 6.41.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
25.96

Additional information

The octanol/water partition coefficient of this complex UVCB substance was experimentally measured in accordance with OECD testing 117 guideline and GLP requirements. Only a limit value of Log Kow >= 5.86 was obtained (Fox and White 2012).

Based on this result, QSAR calculations (Kowwin v1.68, US EPA, 2000) were performed to obtain log Kow values all identified components of the test substance.

The Log Kow values obtained with the Kowwin QSAR (v1.68) for the main components ranged from 11.31 to 25.96.

The highest value of n-octanol/water partition coefficient (Log Kow = 25.96) was selected for chemical safety assessment (CSA) as a conservative approach.
