Description of key information

Density of Nickel Speis was 7.75g/cm3 as measured by Helium Pycnometry measured in a calibrated measurement chamber.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
7.75

Additional information

For the determination of the density of Nickel Speiss Helium Pycnometry was used. A well dried sample of this compound was weighed and placed in a calibrated measurement chamber of3known volume ( 40.79304 cc). Helium was first loaded at a known pressure in a calibrated reference chamber ( 21.06476 cc) and then expanded into the sample chamber. Once the pressure was stabilized the material volume of Nickel Speiss was determined, being 7.75g/cm3.
