Additional information

Atmer 163 (CAS No. 97925-95-6) is not readily biodegradable (37% after 28 days). The substance has a moderate potential for adsorption to soil and sediment particles indicated by a log Koc of 2.46 – 3.01. Due to the low water solubility, sediment and soil are expected to be the main targets for environmental distribution. This assumption is in line with Level I distribution modelling of Atmer 163 in the environment (45.8% will participate to the soil and 46.3% to the sediment). Evaporation from water into air is not expected due to the low Henry’s Law constant (0.000261 – 0.000461 Pa m³/mole). However, if emitted into the air the substance is susceptible to indirect photodegradation (DT50 < 24 h). Furthermore, bioaccumulation of Atmer 163 is not expected due to the low calculated BCF (15.5 - 68.6 L/kg) and moreover the metabolic products are not harmful.
