The DNEL for the C4 low 1,3-butadiene category is defined by the component substance, the butene isomer 2 -methylpropene. A DNEL for acute toxicity should be derived if an acute hazard leading to acute toxicity (eg. C&L) has been identified and there is a potential for high peak exposures. This is not the case with this category. The DNELs of 769 and 1530 mg/m3equate to 335 and 667 ppm respectively.
