Additional information

One study for toxicity to microorganisms is available on a structurally related compound according to DIN 38412, part 8.

In this key study, a catalyst (FCC Futura) was tested for effects on Pseudomonas putida in a series of 5 concentrations, resulting in an EC10 (16 h) and EC50 (16 h) for growth inhibition of 1400 mg/L and 2800 mg/L, respectively (Weyandt 1998). Due to the turbidity of the test substance, a photometric analysis of cell numbers was not feasible, instead colony counts on agar plates were conducted. A slight increase in growth was observed at 1000 mg/L, with a decreasing number of colony building units from 2000 mg/L.
