Additional information

From the compositional description and the structural formula given it can be seen that the substance is a salt of an amine and a carboxylic acid. However, both ionic species are very non-polar and would be expected to have very low water solubility. This is indeed the case: the solubility of the substance in water has been measured as less than 1 microgram/L. Consequently, it would scientifically not be possible to perform the test as the analytical method would not be sensitive enough.
