Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Biodegradation Concawe test (Harlan 2014): inherently biodegradable

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
inherently biodegradable

Additional information

The Concawe study was chosen in view of the very low solubility of the substance and the fact that a ready biodegradation study on one of the components of the substance (rosin CAS 65997 -04 -8) showed some biodegradation after 28 days (15%), but did not pass the criteria for ready biodegradability. The biodegradation of the substance in the Concawe test was 54% after 56 days. This is indicative for inherent biodegradation.
