Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Moisture (wt %):
48
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period
Remarks:
The test item glowed and blackened. Neither propagation nor ignition was observed.

Any other information on results incl. tables

Experimental conditions in the preliminary test:

- room temperature: about 24°C

- atmospheric pressure: 98.3 kPa

- 2 assays:

1) The test item glowed and blackened. Neither propagation nor ignition was observed.

2) The same observations as for the assay 1 were recorded.

Taking into account the results obtained during the preliminary test, no main test was performed.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The test item is NOT classified as a flammable solid according to Regulation (EC) N°1272/2008 (CLP) and UN GHS criteria.
Executive summary:

The test substance was tested for its flammable properties following UN TDG Method N.1.

The test item ignited and blackened at the contact of the flame of the gas burner. There was no propagation along the test pile. No further testing was necessary.

The test item was not classified as a flammable solid of Division 4.1and thus was not assigned to any packing group, under the experimental conditions used.
