Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
short-term toxicity to fish
Type of information:
read-across from supporting substance (structural analogue or surrogate)
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: Read-across from an analogue substance for which a guideline study (Klimish =1) is available.
Justification for type of information:

Remarks on result:
other: Based on a read-across from an analogue substance.
Key result
Duration:
96 h
Dose descriptor:
NOELR
Effect conc.:
>= 100 mg/L
Nominal / measured:
nominal
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Basis for effect:
mortality (fish)
Remarks on result:
other: Based on a read-across from an analogue substance.
Conclusions:
Based on the read-across from an analogue substance, the 96h-No Observed Effect Loading Rate of the target substance is 100 mg/L loading rate WAF.
Executive summary:

A study was performed to assess the acute toxicity of analogue substance to rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). The method followed that described in the OECD Guideline 203 and the OECD Guideline No 23 for Aquatic Toxicity Testing of Difficult Substances and Mixtures (September 2000) and it was conducted according to GLP standards. The 96-Hour LL50(Lethal Loading rate) based on nominal loading rates was greater than 100 mg/l loading rate WAF and correspondingly the No Observed Effect Loading Rate was 100 mg/l loading rate WAF. Based on the read-across approach, the 96-Hour LL50(Lethal Loading rate) of the target substance was > 100 mg/L loading rate WAF and the 96h-NOELR = 100 mg/L loading rate WAF.

Description of key information

Key study: Test method according to OECD 203. GLP study. Based on the read-across approach, the 96-Hour LL50(Lethal Loading rate) of the target substance was > 100 mg/L loading rate WAF and the 96h-NOELR = 100 mg/L loading rate WAF.
