Endpoint:
explosive properties of explosives
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties
Conclusions:
There are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties therefore the study is not necessary and no explosive properties are anticipated. The acceptance procedure for Class 1 explosives shall not apply.
Executive summary:

In accordance with column 2 of REACh Annex VII, the study does not need to be conducted if there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule. According to Regulation (EC) N°1272/2008 (CLP) criteria and screening procedure (as listed in appendix 6 to the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods - Manual of Tests and Criteria (6th revised edition, 2015) or in the ECHA endpoint specific guidance on information requirements (R.7a, v4.1, October 2015, §R.7.1.11), NO REACTIVE GROUP was identified in the constituents of the substance. Therefore, explosive properties are not anticipated, and the acceptance procedure for Class 1 explosives shall not apply, no further testing is required.

Description of key information

There are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties therefore the study is not necessary and no explosive properties are anticipated. The acceptance procedure for Class 1 explosives shall not apply.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

There are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties therefore the study is not necessary and no explosive properties are anticipated. The acceptance procedure for Class 1 explosives shall not apply.
