Description of key information
The water solubility of the test substance at 20°C was found to be > 284 g/L (very soluble in water).

A study was conducted to evaluate the water solubility of the two structural analogues according to EU Method A.6 and OECD Guideline 105, in compliance with GLP. The water solubility was determined by the flask method and the concentration by HPLC.
Due to the highwater solubility of the test substances it is very difficult to determine a saturation concentration. For one structural analogue, the variation of the result was very high (22%) between all experiments. But there was no trend recognisable. Due to this fact all results were used for the calculation of the final result. Under the conditions of this test, the water solubility of the test substance at 20°C was found to be 284 g/L. For the second structural analogue, only a range of water solubility could be determined, which was > 550 g/L. Therefore, the test substance is considered to be very soluble in water.
