As a precaution, a DSC was performed. The measurement in a closed glass pan showed a exothermal effect at 170°C.

The vapour pressure was first measured at a temperature of 25.8°C. At 101°C, the vapour pressure of the test substance was above the lower measuring limit.

The test substance seemed to partially evaporate (possibly water) when the sample was heated. The highest observed value was 2.0E-05 at 110°C.

Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, the vapour pressure of the substance was determined to be <1.0E-05 Pa at 25°C.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the vapour pressure of the read-across Reaktiv Scharlach F97 -0319 substance according to EU Method A.4, in compliance with GLP. The effusion method was used in the experiment. The quantity of substance leaving the cell per unit time through an aperture of known size is determined under vacuum conditions. Due to the conditions of measurement, the return of substance into the cell is negligible (e.g. by measurement of the pulse generated on a sensitive balance by a vapour jet or by measuring the weight loss). The recommended range is 10E-05 to 10E-02 hPa, between 0 and 150°C. The vapour pressure was first measured at a temperature of 25.8°C. At 101°C, the vapour pressure of the test substance was above the lower measuring limit. The test substance seemed to partially evaporate (possibly water) when the sample was heated.
