Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Evacuate personnel of contaminated area and remove to fresh air.
Obtain medical attention or hospitalize immediately.
FIRST AID SKIN: DO NOT DELAY.
Remove contaminated clothing and wash affected skin with water for at least 15 minutes.
Hospitalize immediately.
FIRST AID EYE: DO NOT DELAY.
Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes.
Hospitalize immediately.
FIRST AID INGESTION: DO NOT DELAY.
Do not induce vomiting.Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Obtain medical attention or hospitalize immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide or foam.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
Combustion products may include: Oxides of carbon and nitrogen and phosphorus oxides.
Advice for firefighters:
Unsuitable extinguishing media : Water in jet.
Protective equipment : Wear self contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting if necessary.
Keep adjacent containers cool by spraying with water.Prevent contamination of environment by contaminated water.
Accidental release measures
Ventilate contaminated area thoroughly.
Avoid contact with : skin, eyes, clothing. Remove contaminated clothes.
Evacuate personnel to safe areas.
Wear protective clothing specified for normal operations.
Wear full face-piece respirator for organic vapours. PVC gloves, gauntlet type.
Environmental precautions :
Prevent from spreading or entering into drains, ditches or rivers
Prevent contamination of soil and air.
Inform the local authorities if this cannot be prevented.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Shovel up and place in a labeled container for subsequent safe disposal according to relevant local and international regulations.
Wash contaminated area with plenty of water. Retain washings as contaminated waste.
Handling and storage
Provide for appropriate exhaust ventilation at machinery.
Use only in well ventilated aera.
Keep away from light and moisture.
Keep away from ignition sources. Do not smoke.
Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place. Keep under nitrogen.
Keep under inert gas and away from air and/or light.
RECOMMENDED MATERIAL: glass or polyethylene.
UNSUITABLE MATERIALS : Unprotected steel as aluminium and iron.
Use in a closed system.
