Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Description of first aid measures

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Call a physician or poison control center immediately.

Eye contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a POISON CENTER/doctor/…

Skin Contact: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Immediately call a POISON CENTER/doctor/… Launder contaminated clothing before reuse.

Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting. Rinse mouth. Call a physician or poison control center immediately.

Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed:

See section “Toxicological Information”.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed

Hazards: No data available.

Treatment: Treat symptomatically

Fire-fighting measures

Firefighting measures

General Fire Hazards: No unusual fire or explosion hazards noted.

Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media: CO2, dry chemical, foam, water spray, water fog.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: Not determined.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

See section “Stability and Reactivity” for additional information.

Advice for firefighters

Special fire fighting procedures: No data available.

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: Recommend wearing self-contained breathing apparatus

Accidental release measures

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Do not touch damaged containers or spilled material unless wearing appropriate protective clothing. Keep unauthorized personnel away. See Section “Exposure Controls/Personal Protection” of the SDS for Personal Protective Equipment.

Environmental Precautions: Avoid release to the environment. Do not contaminate water sources or sewer. Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Dike far ahead of larger spill for later recovery and disposal. Pick up free liquid for recycle and/or disposal. Residual liquid can be absorbed on inert material. Stop the flow of material, if this is without risk. Prevent entry into waterways, sewer, basements or confined areas.

Reference to other sections: See sections “Exposure Controls/Personal Protection” and “Disposal Considerations” for additional information.

Handling and storage

Handling and storage:

Precautions for safe handling: Do not breathe dusts or mists. Do not get in eyes, on skin, on clothing. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Observe good industrial hygiene practices. Provide adequate ventilation. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace. Launder contaminated clothing before reuse. Avoid environmental contamination.

Maximum Handling Temperature: 70 °C

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Store away from incompatible materials. See section 10 for incompatible materials.

Maximum Storage Temperature: 45 °C

Specific end use(s): End uses are listed in an attached exposure scenario when one is required.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Control Parameters

Occupational Exposure Limits: None of the components have assigned exposure limits.

Exposure controls

Appropriate engineering controls: Use material in well ventilated area only.

Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment

General information: Provide easy access to water supply and eye wash facilities. Good general ventilation (typically 10 air changes per hour) should be used. Ventilation rates should be matched to conditions. If applicable, use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to maintain airborne levels below recommended exposure limits. If exposure limits have not been established, maintain airborne levels to an acceptable level.

Eye/face protection: Wear tight-fitting goggles or face shield.

Skin protection

Hand Protection: Suitable gloves can be recommended by the glove supplier.

Other: Wear apron or protective clothing in case of contact. Chemical resistant boots. Do not wear rings, watches or similar apparel that could entrap the material.

Respiratory Protection: A respiratory protection program compliant with all applicable regulations must be followed whenever workplace conditions require the use of a respirator. Under normal use conditions, respirator is not usually required. Use appropriate respiratory protection if exposure to dust particles, mist or vapors is likely. Use self-contained breathing apparatus for entry into confined space, for other poorly ventilated areas and for large spill clean-up sites.

Hygiene measures: Observe good industrial hygiene practices. Do not get this material in contact with skin. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using the product. Do not get in eyes. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product. Wash hands after handling.

Environmental Controls: No data available. See section “Accidental Release Measures” for details.

Stability and reactivity

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: No data available.

Chemical Stability: Material is stable under normal conditions.

Possibility of Hazardous Reactions: Will not occur.

Conditions to Avoid: Do not expose to excessive heat, ignition sources, or oxidizing materials.

Incompatible Materials: Strong oxidizing agents.

Hazardous Decomposition Products: Thermal decomposition or combustion may generate smoke, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and other products of incomplete combustion

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods

Disposal methods: Treatment, storage, transportation, and disposal must be in accordance with applicable Federal, State/Provincial, and Local regulations.

Dispose of packaging or containers in accordance with local, regional, national and international regulations. Empty container contains product residue which may exhibit hazards of product.

Contaminated Packaging: Container packaging may exhibit hazards.
