Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

INHALATION: Remove to fresh air, rinse mouth with water and keep patient at rest. If patient feels ill, get immediate medical attention.

SKIN CONTACT: Wash affected areas with soap and water. If irritation develops, get immediate medical attention.

EYE CONTACT: Immediately wash eyes with running water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation develops, get immediate medical attention.

INGESTION: If swallowed, rinse mouth with water and get medical attention. If victim is unconscious, do not induce vomiting, get immediate

medical attention.Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

MOST IMPORTANT SYMPTOMS/EFFECTS, ACUTE AND DELAYED:  No data available

INDICATION OF IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION AND SPECIAL TREATMENT NEEDED IF NECESSARY: No data available

Fire-fighting measures

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Use water spray, foam, carbon dioxide or dry chemical.

SPECIFIC HAZARDS: Thermal decomposition or combustion may produce carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides.

PROTECTION FOR FIREFIGHTERS: Wear full bunker gear including positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS,  PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES: Wear safety glasses, respiratory protection for dust, protective gloves and boots, and working clothes to prevent skin contact.

ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS: Spills should be swept up and placed in a suitable container, avoid creating dust. Remaining material should be washed away with plenty of water, do not discharge directly into waterway or sewer systems (any according to local regulations). Ideally the gathered waste should be disposed of by incineration.

Handling and storage

HANDLING: Minimize generating dust, avoid breathing or concentrating dust on skin or eyes. Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid creating dust in the presents of sparks or open flames. Wear safety glasses, respiratory protection for dust, protective gloves, boots, working clothes to avoid skin contact.

STORAGE: Keep in a closed container to prevent dispersion of dust. Store indoors.

Exposure controls / personal protection

1. Technical protection measures: Use general and/or local exhaust ventilation to control dust. Provide safety showers and emergency eye wash stations.

2. Organisational protection measures: No data

3. Hand protection:  Wear gloves to avoid skin contact.

4. Feet protection: Wear boots to avoid skin contact.

5. Body protection: Wear a suitable working clothes.  gloves and boots to avoid skin contact.

6. Eye protection: Use safety glasses. If dust exposure is likely wear goggles.

7. Respiratory protection: If dust is generated, wear a suitable dust respirator.

Stability and reactivity

REACTIVITY: On contact with acids a color develops, but this does not pose a reactive hazard.

CHEMICAL STABILITY: Stable under normally anticipated storage and handling conditions.

POSSIBILITY OF HAZARDOUS REACTIONS:  React with strong oxidizing reagent.

CONDITIONS TO AVOID: Heat

INCOMPATIBLE MATERIALS: Strong oxidizing reagent

HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS:Thermal decomposition or combustion may produce carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides.

Disposal considerations

WASTE FROM RESIDUES:  Burn in an adequate incinerator or dispose of in an licensed facility, observe relevant local regulations. Do not discharge into waterway or sewer system, unless permission has been obtained by the local authority and a suitable dilution has been established.

CONTAMINATED PACKAGING Contaminated empty containers must be disposed of as chemical waste.
