The test substance is a mixture of the by-products from the manufacture of 1,4-Benzenedicarboxylic acid, dimethyl ester. The molecular structures of the products do not contain any chemically instable or highly energetic groups that might lead to an explosion. Therefore, Terate® 091 Residue is considered not explosive.
