Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Two ready biodegradation studies (OECD 301D) were conducted with two different batches of the substance.
Batch I23-090312 : 83% biodegradation after 28 days
Batch 129958 : 81% biodegradation after 28 days
The substance is readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

Experimental studies were performed on two different batches of the substance in order to address the biodegradability according to OECD TG No. 301D and GLP. The test material was tested at concentrations of 2 mg/L and the inoculum was river water. The degradation of the test material was assessed by the determination of the oxygen consumption.

After 28 days, the biodegradation percentage was 83% for batch I23 -090312 and 81% for batch 129958 based on O2 consumption. The 14-day time window criterion was met in both studies. Thus, the substance is considered as readily biodegradable.
