Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Two experimental studies for the determination of the boiling point were conducted with two different batches of the substance.
Batch I23-090312 : boiling point = 175.7+0.1°C (448.9+0.1K) (to be considered as the initial boiling point).
Batch 129958 : boiling point = 173.2 + 0.2°C (446.3 + 0.2K) (to be considered as the initial boiling point).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
173.2 °C

Additional information

Two experimental GLP studies were performed on two different batches of the substance in order to determine the boiling point.

Studies were considered as reliable with restriction because the Siwoloboff method, that is recommended for pure substances and mixtures in the OECD guideline, does not allow to determine a boiling point range. This method just allows to approximate the boiling point of the main constituents having the lowest boiling point. Considering that the boiling temperature is not a sharply defined characteristic for a UVCB substance, the boiling point which was determined in the study was considered as acceptable for the purpose of the REACH registration.

The lowest value, being considered as the initial boiling point, was retained as the key value for the chemical safety assessment.
