First-aid measures

GENERAL INFORMATION

In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately.

AFTER INHALATION

Supply fresh air. If required, provide artificial respiration. Keep patients warm. Consult doctor if symptoms persist.

AFTER SKIN CONTACT

If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor. Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing.

AFTER EYE CONTACT

Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. Then consult a doctor.

AFTER SWALLOWING

Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water. Call a doctor immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA

- Suitable extinguishing agents: CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: In case of fire, ammonia and nitrogen oxides (NOx) can be released.

ADVICE FOR FIREFIGHTERS

- Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device and fully protective suit.

- Additional information: Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.

Accidental release measures

PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS, PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals. Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin. Ensure adequate ventilation. Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol.

ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS

Do not allow to enter sewers/surface or ground water. Do not allow to penetrate the ground/soil.

METHODS AND MATERIAL FOR CONTAINMENT AND CLEANING UP

Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders, sawdust). Send for recovery or disposal in suitable receptacles.

Handling and storage

PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING

Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away. Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace. The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals.

INFORMATION ABOUT FIRE AND EXPLOSION PROTECTION:

The product is not combustible. In case of fire, ammonia and nitrous oxide (NOx) can be released.

CONDITIONS FOR SAFE STORAGE, INCLUDING ANY INCOMPATIBILITIES

- Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: store in a cool location. Ensure adequate ventilation.

- Information about storage in one common storage facility: Not required

- Further information about storage conditions: Keep container tightly sealed.

GENERAL PROTECTIVE AND HYGIENIC MEASURES

- Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed

- Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing

- Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work

- Avoid contact with the eyes and skin

- Respiratory protection: If dust or spray is present use respiratory protection filter P3

- Protection of hands: Protective gloves.

- The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/the substance/the preparation. Due to missing tests no recommendation to the glove material can be given for the product/the preparation/the chemical mixture. Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation.

- Material of gloves: The selection of suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. As the product is a preparation of several substances, the resistance of the glove material can not be calculated in advance and has therefore to be checked prior to the application.

- Penetration time of glove material: The exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.

- For the permanent contact of a maximum of  15 minutes gloves made of Butyl rubber (BR) or Fluorocarbon rubber (Viton) are suitable

- Eye protection: Safety glasses

- Body protection: Protective work clothing

Stability and reactivity

- Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used according to specifications

- Possibility of hazardous reactions: No dangerous reactions known

- Conditions to avoid: No further relevant information available

- Incompatible materials: No further relevant information available

- Hazardous decomposition products: Ammonia

Disposal considerations

WASTE TREATMENT METHODS

Contact manufacturer for recycling information. If residues of products are classified as waste use the legal requirements to assign the appropriate Waste Code. Disposal must be made according to official regulations.

UNCLEANED PACKAGING

Disposal must be made according to official regulations Recommended cleaning agents include water, if necessary with cleansing agents.
