First-aid measures

INHALATION:

Bring the person into the fresh air, rest and consult a doctor

ORAL INGESTION:

Rinse mouth (spit out!), and consult a doctor if necessary

SKIN CONTACT:

Remove contaminated clothing, wash immediately with water and soap

EYE CONTACT:

Rinse for 15 minutes with water, consult an ophthalmologist

Get medical advice as quickly as possible in the case of a serious or lasting dysfunction.

Fire-fighting measures

5.1 Extinguishing media:

Suitable extinguishing media: Semi-finished product in powder form, non-flammable. In case of fire in the immediate vicinity extinguish with carbon dioxide, extinguishing powders, extinguishing foam, if water is used do not allow runoff to enter the sewage system or the surface or ground water.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: Unknown

5.2 Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

At high temperatures and in the presence of organic substances, reduction reactions to pure metals and evolution of hazardous fumes may occur.

5.3 Information for fire-fighters:

Substances hazardous to health may be produced during a fire. Wear full protective clothing and breathing apparatus isolating the airways from the environment.

Additional information:

Notify surroundings of fire. Remove from danger area all persons not involved in fighting the fire. Notify the Fire Department and the Police if necessary. Do not allow run-off from fire fighting water contaminated with the substance to reach surface or ground water.

Accidental release measures

6.1. Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

               6.1.1. For non-emergency personnel:

Do not breathe dust. Avoid direct contact. When selecting an evacuation route, take into account the direction of movement of dusts and fumes.

               6.1.2. For emergency responders:

Personnel involved in the rescue operation should wear dust-proof protective clothing with a mask to protect the respiratory tract against dust and protective goggles. Avoid direct contact with the intermediate product.

Emergency procedures: Road transport - immediately notify the Police and Fire Brigade. Mark the place of the accident with warning signs, according to the road traffic regulations, warn bystanders to move on the windward side. Cover dust with a tight tarpaulin protecting it from precipitation and blowing away by air movements.

               6.2 Environmental precautions:

Prevent from direct entry into drains, surface and ground water and soil.

6.3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up

Eliminate leakage (seal, place damaged container in protective packaging). Mechanically collect as much of the intermediate product as possible in sealed containers. The intermediate product collected together with the soil should be treated as hazardous under the code 10 06 03*.

               6.4 References to other sections:

Personal protective equipment is described in section 8.2.2.

Waste treatment is described in Section 13.

Handling and storage

HANDLING

Avoid swallowing or inhaling the dust or smoke. Avoid activities that create dust or smoke. Provide good ventilation to keep the concentration in the air below the limits.

STORAGE

Keep separately from strong acids, take measures so dust can not be nebulized

Underage persons may not work exposed to heavy metals or their compounds.

Pregnant and breast-feeding women may not work exposed to carcinogenic agents, lead or lead compounds.

REQUIREMENTS FOR VENTILATION AND EQUIPMENT:

Local exhaust ventilation with enclosure and general ventilation are required in case of emission of dust to air. suction nozzles of local ventilation should be located at or below work level. Air outtakes of general ventilation should be located at the top of the room and air intakes should be located at the bottem of the room. When handling lead-containing materials, observe the provisions of the Regulation of Minister of the Economy concerning work health and safety for zinc and lead production and production and processing dated 30 December 1999 (Dz.U. 2000.3.38).

REQUIREMENTS FOR PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT:

Avoid direct contact with the material. If the concentration level is determined and known, select appropriate personal protection measures taking into account the concentration at the given workplace, exposure length and works performed by the given employee as well as the instructions provided by the producer of the personal protection equipment.

SKIN PROTECTION:

Wear protective clothing.

HANDS PROTECTION:

Wear gloves

EYE PROTECTION:

If exposure is possible, use goggles or protective eyewear.

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION:

Depending on material concentration levels at the workplace, use: a half-mask with filter of a class appropriate for the material concentration level in air, or a mask with filter of a class appropriate for the material concentration level in air. In case of lack of oxygen, use self-contained or stationary respiratory equipment.

FURTHER INFORMATION:

Remove contaminated clothes immediately and store in closed containers, decontaminate before further use.
