Administrative data

First-aid measures

Eye Contact: Wash immediately with large amounts of water or normal saline. Keep eyelids open with the finger. Get medical advice and show him the label.

Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothes and shoes immediately. Wash affected area with soap or mild detergent and large amount of water until no evidence of substance remains ( 15-20 minutes). Get medical attention immediately.

Ingestion: l f swallowed wash mouth with water provided person is conscious. Get medical attention immediately and show container or label.

Inhalation: Avoid breathing dusts that may be generated by handling of the product. Remove the person from the exposed area to fresh air immediately. Get medical advice if adverse symptoms will appear.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Nebulised water, chemical powder, foam, CO2. Use any means suitable for extinguishing surrounding fire. Small fire CO2 foam. Large Fire, Fog foam.

Unsuitable extinguishing media are unknown
Adding water to caustic solutions generate large ammounts of heat

Accidental release measures

Eye: wear suitable proctective devices
Skin: wear suitable clothes with full body protection
Inhalation: In case of fire and/or explosion avoid breathing smokes and vapours. Use a respiratory device autonomous and adapted protective clothes. The vapours can be eliminated through nebulised water

In case of accidental spillage use PPE.

Handling and storage

Handle away from sparks and flames- sources of ignition
Handle in well ventilated areas
Avoid contact with incompatible materials
wear suitable PPE
keep the substance away from drains, surface or ground water
Do not eat, drink and smoke in working areas
remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas

Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering controls The adaption of the most appropriate engineering controls is also based on the Local risk assessment done by the employer.

Eye and face protection: Safety goggles for EN 166
Skin protection: Chemical resistant gloves (EN 374)
Body: other protective equipment based in the activity of use and possible exposure. wear gauntlets, boots body suit and other devices in accordance with EN 14605
respiratory protection: When the risk assessment foresees the need to use a respirator with assistaed ventilation, use a powder filter.

Stability and reactivity

The substance is considered not reactive under the normal conditions of use Avoid exposure to light, air, moisture and excessive heat
Avid exposure to string oxidizing agents
If heated at high temperatures, decomposes releasing fumes and toxic gases of COx and NOx
