Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
test procedure in accordance with generally accepted scientific standards and described in sufficient detail
Qualifier:
no guideline followed
Version / remarks:
The goal of the project was to determine the density of propane-1,3-diyl bis(4-aminobenzoate) using
helium pycnometry.
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The goal of the project was to determine the density of propane-1,3-diyl bis(4-aminobenzoate) using helium pycnometry.Prior to analysis, the pycnometer was calibrated using a standard ball with a volume of 0.718556cm³.
Helium pycnometry experiments were conducted with an AccuPyc 1340 using ultra high purity helium so that five (5) repeat measurements agreed to within a tolerance of 0.01% of the total cell volume.
Five repeat measurements of helium gas expansion were performed to evaluate the volume occupied by the sample. The volume of propane-1,3-diyl bis(4-aminobenzoate) was determined to be 0.2614 cm3. Since the sample weight used was 0.3227 grams, the density was determined to be 1.2344 g/cm³.
The helium pycnometry measurement reflects the density of the solid portion of the material excluding the pores and therefore has units of grams of solid per volume of solid assuming no closed porosity. As such, it is equal to the skeletal density of the material.

Conclusions:
The sample density of propane-1,3-diyl bis(4-aminobenzoate) was measured to be 1.2344 g/cm³.
Executive summary:

The sample density of propane-1,3-diyl bis(4-aminobenzoate) was measured to be 1.2344 g/cm³ with a standard deviation of 0.0005 g/cm³ from 5 sequential measurements.
