The water solubility was found to be below the quantification limit of 103 µg/L. In both columns the concentration of five consecutive fractions was constant within ±30 % No increasing or decreasing tendency was observed.

Coating check:

The coating check was successful. Enough test item remained on the columns:

1) After the sampling period a higher amount of test item was found on column 1 than used for coating. This could have been caused by the addition of twice the initial weight at the beginning of the test. This deviation had no influence on the final result.

Conclusions:
Water solubility (OECD 105; EU-method A.6): < 0.1 mg/L (20°C)
Executive summary:

The water solubility of the submission substance was determined according to OECD 105 and EU-method A.6 compliant with GLP. Due to the low water solubility determined in preliminary testing foreseen according to the test guidelines, the column elution method was applied using sea sand as the inert solid support. Test item concentrations within all elution fractions of both column elution experiments (flow rates 12.5 mL/h and 25 mL/h) were below the limit of quantification (103 µg/L). At the end of the experiment, for both columns a "coating check" was performed to demonstrate that still sufficient test item material was bound on the sea sand. This could be confirmed by elution with acetone (>78% of initial loading recovered).

In conclusion, the water solubility of the test item as determined via the column elution method at 20°C was found to be below the quantification limit of the analytical method:

water solubility (20°C) < 0.1 mg/L
