In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials. Dipropylene glycol methyl ether is a saturated glycol ether with no functional and chemical groups associated with oxidizing properties. With the absence of structural alerts, classification for oxidizing properties is not required. Dipropylene glycol methyl ether has no oxidising character.
