Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

Several studies are available for the biodegradation assessment of the test substance.

In an OECD 301A study the substance was found to be not readily biodegradable based on a DOC removal of 0% in 28 days (Ciba-Geigy 1992).

Furthermore, two studies investigating the inherent biodegradability of the test item are available. The oxygen consumption in a study according to OECD 302C (Ciba-Geigy 1991) was measured to be 0% which substantiates the results of the OECD301A study. The second study on inherent biodegradability (OECD 302B) determined a biodegradation of 43.7% based on DOC removal after 28 days (Ciba-Geigy 1992). Hence, the test substance is moderately eliminated from water.
