First-aid measures

IF INHALED: Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. Get medical attention. If not breathing,

give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.

IF ON SKIN: Immediately remove all contaminated clothing.  Rinse skin with water for at least 15 minutes.  Application of 2.5% calcium gluconate gel to the affected area is recommend.  Get medical attention.

IF ON EYE: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention.

IF SWALLOWED: Give large amount of water or milk. Get medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Not applicable as substance is not flammable

SPECIFIC HAZARDS: Substance may react with water and may release corrosive and/or toxic gases.  If possible move containers from area affected by fire.  Cool containers with water spray until well after fire is out

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective gear

Accidental release measures

PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS: Avoid use of water. Keep unnecessary people away, isolate hazard area and deny entry.

Stay upwind and use proper personal protective equipment.

ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS: Prevent the material from spreading into the environment.

CONTAINMENT AND CLEAN UP: recover the substance in an empty vessel if possible.  Neutralise with lime.  Flush small substance residues with large amount of water.  For disposal see Section 13 of Safety Data Sheet.

Handling and storage

HANDLING: Handle in well-ventilated area. After handling wash thoroughly hands, face, and eyes. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Avoid ingestion and inhalation.

STORAGE:  Store on floor which prevents outflow to any water supply and infiltration underground by leakage of container.  Keep containers tightly closed. Store in a cool and dry place. Prevent moisture absorption. Recommended materials for container: Polyethylene or fluorocarbon resin
