Additional information

A GLP-compliant OECD 203 guideline study is available for short-term toxicity in golden orfe (Leuciscus idus) for potassium tetrafluoroborate (Safepharm Laboratories Ltd., 1992). Fish (10/dose) were exposed to five test concentrations of potassium tetrafluoroborate (180 to 1800 mg/L) and a blank control (without test substance or any other additive) for a period of 96 hours under static conditions. No analytical monitoring was performed. The 96-h LC50 value was 760 mg/L (based on nominal concentrations).
