Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The following physico-chemical properties of cobalt(2+) disulfamate were studied by appropriate testing:

(i) melting point,

(ii) boiling point,

(iii) thermal stability,

(iii) pH value for cobalt(2+) sulfamate 50%(w/w) as supporting information.

The results of the studies are reported in the endpoint summary as well as in the accompanying IUCLID database.

Several endpoints are covered with handbook data or were waived due to intrinsic properties and long-term experience in handling of cobalt(2+) disulfamate 50% solution or based on the criteria as laid down in regulation (EC) 1907/2008.

It is note that cobalt(2+) sulfamate is not stable in the anhydrate form. Hence, cobalt(2+) sulfamate tetrahydrate was used for testing. Nevertheless, the substance as marked is cobalt(2+) sulfamate 50% solution.

Further note; handbook data for physico-chemical properties are considered to be from a trusted source acc. to "ECHA, Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment – Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance" and therefore, these data could be regarded as valid.
