30 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
6.4 mg/L

Additional information

A 72-hour static test was carried out according to OECD 201 test guidelines, with deviation in the test medium, to determine the acute toxicity of potassium dicyanoaurate to Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata (Brixham 2013). A range finding test and a definitive test were performed. 3 replicates of 7 concentrations were use along with 6 replicates of the control. EC10, EC20, EC50, NOEC and LOEC values are reported based on biomass (yield) and growth rate. As measured concentrations of gold were maintained throughout the test, results are expressed as nominal concentrations.
