Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A study assessing the ready aerobic biodegradability of the test substance using the OECD method 301 F resulted in a biodegradation level of 78.8% in 28 days and 58 % within the 10 day window. The item did not generate any inhibiting effect on the micro-organisms.

In addition, as the substance is not considered readily biodegradable, the likely aerobic biodegradation products of the registered substance were identified via the in silico method EAWAG-BBD Pathway Prediction System. A total of 29 compounds (including the parent substance) were identified. Their P and B properties were also assessed via the use of the in silico tool US EPA EPISUITE (KOWWIN, BIOWIN, BCFBAF); the results indicate that none of the identified compounds are likely to fulfill PBT or vPvB criteria. Consequently, no further biodegradation studies are proposed.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable but failing 10-day window
Type of water:
freshwater
