Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusions:
The relative density at ambient temperature (compared to water at 4 °C) was determined to be:
D4R= 1.35      (20.0 °C)
Executive summary:

The density determination was performed with the gas comparison pycnometer according to OECD 109. The aparatus with a measured amount of the test item in the measurement chamber is swept 10 times with 19.5 psi Helium (purity min. 99.99 %) at a constant and regulated environmental temperature. Thereafter, the valve to the expansion chamber (volume = Vr) is opened and a certain amount of gas expands from the measurement chamber (volume = Vc) containing the test item to the expansion chamber. The volume of the test item Vsis calculated of the pressure drop from p1to p2caused by the gas expansion. Two individual test series containing three measurements were performed. The density was calculated from the mass of the sample and its measured volume for each measurementbwfore the results were averaged.The estimated accuracy of this method is ±0.01 g/cm³.

The relative density at ambient temperature (compared to water at 4 °C) was determined to be:

D4R= 1.35      (20.0 °C)

This information is used in a read-across approach in the assessment of the target substance.
