Description of key information
A ready biodegradability study is scientifically unjustified as Silicon Nitride is an inorganic substance.

In accordance with Annex VII, column 2 of the REACH regulation, a ready biodegradability study does not need to be conducted if the substance is inorganic. On this basis, no ready biodegradability test is required for Silicon Nitride.
