Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In accordance with Annex IX, column 2 the study does not need to be conducted if the substance has low potential for bioaccumulation and/or a low potential to cross biological membranes, or direct and indirect exposure of the aquatic compartment is unlikely. Strictly speaking, this data requirement cannot be waived on this basis. However, potassium hydrogen difluoride fully dissociates into its constituent ions in aqueous environments. The available data for potassium and fluoride indicate that bioaccumulation will not occur: the behaviour of these species is well characterised and therefore further data is not required.
