Administrative data
First-aid measures
Seek medical assistance if discomfort continues.
After inhalation: Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him calm.
After contact with skin: In case of contact with skin, clean with soap and water.
After contact with eyes: Rinse the affected eye with plenty of water, at the same time keep the unaffected eye well protected.
After ingestion: If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label. Do not induce vomiting.
Fire-fighting measures
The substance itself is not highly flamable, but decomposes exothermally at high temperatures. Firefighting measures should be adjusted to the environment. Cooling of the product with water spray jet, if exposed to fire or high temperatures.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture in case of heavy fires: hazardous combustion gases may be formed, like Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx). Under certain conditions of combustion traces of other toxic substances cannot be excluded.
Special protective equipment for firefighters: Do not inhale explosion and/or combustion gases, use self-contained breathing apparatus
Avoid skin or eye contact.
Further information : Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water should be collected and treated or disposed of in accordance with the local regulations.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Use personal protective clothing. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Environmental precautions: Do not allow entry to drains, water courses or soil. Contain contaminated water/firefighting water.
Methods for cleaning up/taking up: Take up mechanically. Avoid raising dust.
Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly, observing environmental regulations. When picked up, treat material as prescribed under heading "Disposal". Containers in which spilt substance has been collected must be adequately labelled.
Handling and storage
This substance should be handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems should be available at each manufacturing and use site. Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions should be requested from any affected distributor and downstream user of the registrant's intermediate.
Provide good ventilation of working area (local exhaust ventilation if exposure to dusty material cannot be excluded).
Avoid the formation and deposition of dust.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion
In principle, with organic products which are -intentionally or unintentionally- in powdered form, the danger of a dust explosion should be kept in mind. Take precautionary measures against electrostatic charges - earthing necessary during loading operations.
Keep away from sources of ignition - refrain from smoking. Observe the general rules of industrial fire protection.
Do not store or transport together with foodstuffs
Further information on storage conditions
Keep container tightly closed in a well-ventilated place
Protect from heat and direct sunlight

Exposure controls / personal protection
This substance should be handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems should be available at each manufacturing and use site.
Do not inhale dust. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not eat, drink or smoke during work time. Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately and clean thoroughly before using again. Garments that cannot be cleaned must be destroyed (burnt). Keep away from foodstuffs and beverages.
Clean hands and face during work intervals and after work.
Respiratory protection : Use local exhaust ventilation or wear dust mask if exposure to dust cannot be excluded.
Hand protection: For long-term exposure use butyl rubber gloves.
These types of protective gloves are offered by various manufacturers. Please note the manufacturers´ detailed statements,
especially about the minimum thickness and the minimum breakthrough time. Consider also the particular working conditions
under which the gloves are being used.
With solid dry substances permeation is not to be expected, therefore the breakthrough-time for this protective glove has not been measured.
Eye protection: tight fitting safety glasses
Body protection: Dedicated working clothes. In case of expected higher exposure use a light protection suit.
Stability and reactivity
The Substance decomposes if heated over the melting point. Avoid uncontrolled contact to strong oxidizing acids, acid halides, halogens, oxididizin agents.
Disposal considerations
Product : Special waste incineration plant, after consultation with operators. Observe local authority regulations.
Contaminated packaging : Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of as product waste. For disposal local regulation is binding.
