Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Classification related key information

- Biodegradation: Not readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria (29% after 28 d, OECD 301F)

- Bioaccumulation: log Pow 2.77 (OECD 117)

Aquatic acute toxicity:

Aquatic invertebrates: EC50 (48 h) = 35 mg/L (geometric mean, Daphnia magna, OECD 202)

Algae: ErC50 (72 h) = 48 mg/L (nominal, Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, OECD 201)

Aquatic chronic toxicity:

Algae: ErC10 (72 h) = 30 mg/L (nominal, Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, OECD 201)

Classification justification according to CLP

Based on the data above, the substance is not considered to be rapidly degradable in the environment and bioaccumulation is assumed to be low. Based on the acute toxicity to Daphnia magna (EC50 (48 h) = 35 mg/L) the substance has to be classified as “Aquatic Chronic 3” (H412) according to the consolidated version of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) and all further amendments (ATPs).
