The average water solubility of the test item Ethyl 2 -cyanoacrylate determined on two flow rates (25 mL/h and 12.5 mL/h) is 0.024 mg/L (24 µg/L, 24 ppb).
Annotation:
Due to its high reactivity, ethyl 2 -cyanoacrylate immediately polymerizes when getting in contact with water. Thus, the reported value of water solubility represents the very small concentration of residual monomers which are detectable in the aqueous phase. It has to considered that the test item ethyl 2 -cyanoacrylate is stabilized with hydrochinone according to the test certicicate supplied by the sponsor.
