First-aid measures

Inhalation: move person to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration.

Skin contact: wash off with soap and plenty of water

Eye contact: flush eyes with water as a precaution.

Swallowed: Never give anything by mouth to an unconsious person. Rinse mouth with water.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide

Special hazards: carbon oxides, sodium oxides

Fire-fighter: wear self contained breathing apparatus

Accidental release measures

Avoid dust formation, avoid breathing vapours, mist or gas

Do not empty into drains.

Handling and storage

Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation.

Store in a cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well ventilated place.

This substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under the strictly controlled conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each manufacturing site.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Individual protection measures: Protective clothing needs to be selected specifically for the workplace, depending on concentrations and quantities of the hazardous substances handled. Change contaminated clothing. Wash hands after working with substance. Wear safety glasses. Hand protection required.
