Conclusion on classification

Sebacic acid, compound with hexane-1,6-diamine is readily biodegradable. Based on the log kow values of its constituents, it is not potentially bioaccumulative. Acute toxicity data are available on two trophic levels (daphnids and algae), with EC50 ranging from 10 to 100 mg/L; meaning that sebacic acid, compound with hexane-1,6-diamine is harmful to aquatic life. The study on algae also provides NOEC and EC10 values that are above the chronic classification threshold of 1 mg/L. On this basis, sebacic acid, compound with hexane-1,6-diamine does not need to be classified for its environmental impacts both under CLP and DSD.
