Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In a 21d Daphnia reproduction study according to OECD 211 and GLP using 14C test material, a NOEC of 2.66 µg/L (mean measured) was derived (BASF SE, DSM Nutritional Products AG, Merck KGaA, Symrise AG, 2018). In this study 5 concentrations have been tested, a clear concentration response on daphnid reproduction was observed.

In contrast, in a scientific publication a NOEC of > 50 µg/L was derived from a 21 d Daphnia reproduction test (non-GLP, no analytics), however some information on the test design and detailed study results are missing. Therefore, the results from the recent GLP study of higher quality should be taken for the hazard assessment of the substance.
