Description of key information

The LC50 at 24, 48, 72, 96 hours was >14.0 mg/L, the NOEC at 24, 48, 72, 96 hours was >=14.0 mg/L.
The LC50 of >100 mg/L is the matching loading rate.

Additional information

The acute toxicity of Melam was assessed using Oryzias latipes during an exposure period of 96 hours under static test conditions. The nominal concentration was set at 100 mg/L, and also a control group was prepared.

The concentration of the test substance was analyzed in the test solution, the concentration at the end of exposure (after 96 hours) was within +/- 20 % of the measured initial values (0 hours). Therefore, all test results were determined based on the values measured at the start of the test.

The LC50 at 24, 48, 72, 96 hours was >14.00 mg/L, the NOEC at 24, 48, 72, 96 hours was >=14.00 mg/L. The LC50 of >100 mg/L is the matching loading rate. The LC50 is greater than the figure forced in the field "Value used for CSA" and cannot be entered as a relative result (>100 mg/L).
