Minimum Ignition Temperature – Dust Layer of Cyclohexylamine benzoate Powder::
The Minimum Ignition Temperature of a Powder/Dust Layer is defined as the lowest temperature of a hot surface at which ignition occurs in a dust layer on this hot surface (in the absence of an ignition source). This test is directly relevant to problems where dust deposition and accumulation on heated surfaces can occur (e.g. Cyclohexylamine benzoate Powder blown into complex pipework and valve systems or equipment internals, the powder accumulates in certain areas, and these areas might later become hot.

Conclusions:
Minimum Ignition Temperature – Dust Layer of Cyclohexylamine benzoate Powder:
- no exothermic reaction up to the melting point 180 to 190oC.
- Tests above melting point (up to 200oC) caused rapid melt with no exothermic reaction.
- Tests were performed in the absence of an ignition source.
