The cube was filled with the test item and tapped gently, test item was added more until the cube was completely filled. The cube was then suspended in the center of the oven at room temperature. The temperature was raised up to 222.5°C at a rate of 0.5°C/minute. From the obtained graph representing the temperatures T1 (Test item temperature) and T2 (Oven temperature) as a function of test period time, very sharp temperature rise above the oven temperature was not observed, which indicates that the test item does not  undergo self ignition up to the melting temperature (ca 222 °C).
