Additional information

Due to the very low vapour pressure, only very small amounts of the long-chain alkyl methacrylate ester (C16) is expected to be released into the air.

However, after emission or evaporation of any amounts to air the product is expected to be rapidly degraded by photochemical processes.

In water, the long-chain alkyl methacrylate ester (C16) is readily biodegradable despite it's extremely low water solubility.

The available data support the conclusion that all members of the category will be rapidly degraded and are neither persistent nor bioaccumulative in the environment.
